Chiropractic care is at the core of who we are and what we do in this office. If you're reading this right now, you're either suffering from symptoms that are disrupting your ability to function throughout the day without pain or discomfort, or you're interested in finding a chiropractor for other reasons. Maybe you're new to the area and you're looking for a new office to start getting care or maybe you heard that chiropractic care can help you feel and function better. Whatever the reason may be, we take great pride in helping our patients reach their healthcare goals with specific, corrective chiropractic care with an emphasis on wellness care helping you to enjoy the best quality of life that you can. Our office believes that "seeing is knowing", so we perform an exam on each patient before any initial adjustment is provided. You expect your mechanic to run tests on your car before doing anything, so shouldn't your doctor do tests first too? We believe they should because having accurate information is essential to providing you with the highest quality of care and we do that by incorporating state of the art technology in our examination. Along with a variation of manual or "hands on" chiropractic adjusting techniques, our office is able to perform instrument assisted adjusting which is ideal for patients who aren't comfortable with the sound or feeling of a typical "manual" adjustment. Other patients who benefit from instrument assisted adjustments are patients with osteoporosis or other soft tissue injuries. Never in the history of chiropractic care have chiropractors been able to provide the level of value that is available today.
instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) therapy
Adhesions in the fascia (connective tissue covering the muscular system) can develop over time and affect how you feel and function. These adhesions are often described as "knots" and can be painful when applying pressure to the area. Using an advanced instrument that combines vibration with an "up and down" movement called percussion allows the doctor to penetrate deep into the tissue with consistent motion to help break up these "knots" and restore proper movement and function to the fascial tissue. Patients love adding this therapy to their regular chiropractic visits and they can't help but get up in amazement at how good their muscles feel in such a short amount of time. It's been described as an entire massage session in a fraction of the time.
